Can you use Visage alongside another design system?

Visage is not fully compatible with many third-party component frameworks, such as Bootstrap:

• Visage sets typographic defaults for the h1 to h6 tags. If another framework also styles these tags, the results may be unpredictable.

• Visage may use CSS class names that are the same as the class names used by other libraries. In particular, Visage's layout grid uses some of the same class names as Bootstrap's grid.

In addition, adding two frameworks to a page is also a big performance hit!

If you need a piece of functionality from another framework that Visage doesn't yet offer, please contact the Visage team to get it added, rather than install a second framework.
